Alphabetically order sheet tabs??

If not familiar with VBA and macros, see David McRitchie's site for more on
"getting started".

http://www.mvps.org/dmcritchie/excel/getstarted.htm

In the meantime..........

First...create a backup copy of your original workbook.

To create a General Module, hit ALT + F11 to open the Visual Basic Editor.

Hit CRTL + R to open Project Explorer.

Find your workbook/project by name and select it.

Right-click and InsertModule. Paste the code in there. Save the
workbook and hit ALT + Q to return to your workbook.

Run the macro by going to ToolMacroMacros.

You can also assign this macro to a button or a shortcut key combo

Alphabetically order sheet tabs??

Yes

Do it manually by dragging the sheet tabs into the order you want.

It is not difficult to copy the code from Chip's site to a module in your
workbook as I have explained.

You can't break anything by trying on a copy of your original workbook.

Put in a little effort and you will soon learn to deal with VBA.

Gord,

Your instructions were great. I thought this would be something cool to
know how to do and I didn't understand the code either, but I followed
your instructions and it works wonderfully.

Thanks for the feedback Jon

You're on your way now...........keeo at it.

By opening the world of VBA you expand the uses of Excel and make life so much
easier.

The Macro Recorder can be your friend.
