Alphabetically order sheet tabs??
If not familiar with VBA and macros, see David McRitchie's site for more on
"getting started". http://www.mvps.org/dmcritchie/excel/getstarted.htm In the meantime.......... First...create a backup copy of your original workbook. To create a General Module, hit ALT + F11 to open the Visual Basic Editor. Hit CRTL + R to open Project Explorer. Find your workbook/project by name and select it. Right-click and InsertModule. Paste the code in there. Save the workbook and hit ALT + Q to return to your workbook. Run the macro by going to ToolMacroMacros. You can also assign this macro to a button or a shortcut key combo Gord Dibben MS Excel MVP On Wed, 21 Jun 2006 11:07:05 -0500, Bro23 wrote: I would jus like to know the simplest way possible because i am not an avid excel user and do not understand complicated things in excel. is there any different way to do it beside that^^^ -- Bro23 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Bro23's Profile: http://www.excelforum.com/member.php...o&userid=35564 View this thread: http://www.excelforum.com/showthread...hreadid=553226 |
Alphabetically order sheet tabs??
Yes
Do it manually by dragging the sheet tabs into the order you want. It is not difficult to copy the code from Chip's site to a module in your workbook as I have explained. You can't break anything by trying on a copy of your original workbook. Put in a little effort and you will soon learn to deal with VBA. Gord, Your instructions were great. I thought this would be something cool to know how to do and I didn't understand the code either, but I followed your instructions and it works wonderfully.
