Browsing to Hyperlink location
I am currently working on an excel sheet that I adding hyperlinks to. In the
insert - hyperlink - edit hyperlink window, is there a way to set the default location to look for the hyperlink location? I am looking for a way to shorten my steps from scrolling to \\server_name\share_name\folder_name\ then select file to the edit hyperlink window opening to the \folder_name so I can then select file desired. Does any one know of a way to do this? Any help is greatly appreciated. Sincerely, Cheri |

I'm not sure if you can change this, but you could highlight the part that never
changes and hit ctrl-c to copy it. Then ctrl-v to paste when you need that string in that box in the dialog. Cheri wrote: I am currently working on an excel sheet that I adding hyperlinks to. Thank you for your reply.
I have noticed that if I went through the network places and scrolled down to the folder, it defaults there. But I don't want to use that direction, when I have a file share drive that should be used. Any other suggestions?
