Problems with autoformatting revisited
Hi,
I'm hoping you'll be able to help me with this vexing Excel problem. I have data which I want to replace with a different format ##:##.##, however this is always intepreted as a date/time format, eg 3001:1.1 gets changed to 01:01.1 or 2.084040509, when all I want is 3001:1.1! Other users suggest putting an apostrophe in front, however I need it in this particular format to upload to a database. I have tried formatting the cells to text, but after using the find/replace box it still 'reformats' the cells. Even when specifying text in the find/replace box, again there is reformatting. I've also unchecked all the possible check boxes related to formatting, but still no joy. Here's hoping for a result! Thanks in advance. |
