hello everybody,

i am trying to use a hyperlink and the following error message
appears:
"This operation has been cancelled due to restrictions in effect in
this computer. contact system administrator"

I have tried a lot of things but the problem is not solved.

sounds like you are a limited user trying to access non-limited stuff

to find out what the actual problem is
if not ok check security settings for excel or admin user rights

try setting up a hyperlink in the own documnet e.g PRESS to goto SHEET

if thats ok then set a hyperlink to go to a another workbook that you
have access to

if not ok check security settings for excel or admin user rights

if thats ok test a web page hyperlink
if not ok check internet settings


sorry but with a general question we can only give general answers if
you could narrow the actual problem down
e.g if u are limited or admin
if its a workbook you can access
if it is web page
