Can't open file in 2007
When I try to open one of my files I get a message saying 'The file
'Select.xlsx' is a macro-free file, but contains macro-enabled content'. The frames are visible but with no cell data displayed. I have tried with macro security set to its lowest level, but upon clicking the only option - OK - the file just closes again. The file does have a digital signature. Anyone come across similar things in the Beta version? |

John
As a safety measure files containing macros cannot have a xlsx extension. I believe it should be *.xlsm I am not sure how a .xlsx can have code as if you try that from within XL2007 it warns you it is going to strip the code if you continue to save as an .xlsx -- HTH Nick Hodge Microsoft MVP - Excel Southampton, England www.nickhodge.co.uk HIS "John Pryor" wrote in message ... That's much the thought process that I went along, even to the extent of
cheating and manually changing the extension. 2007 was too clever for me though, and refused to open it because it had the wrong suffix. Still stuck then, guess I'll have to start over. Thanks anyway "Nick Hodge" wrote: John As a safety measure files containing macros cannot have a xlsx extension.
