Weekday

In Cell B1 I have the date 5/26/2006 (this date was input by using the
shortcut "ctrl colon")
In Cell A1I want the return to be Friday. and then be able to copy that so
when I enter the date on the next line it will weekday will automatically
populate.

I entered a formula - TEXT("5/25/2006", "DDDD") which works however i have
to manually put in the 5/25/2006 I can not click B1.

Hope I explained this well enough

thanks
