Disable formatting on csv open?

Hi!

When opening a csv file in 2003, Excel "formats" the data - it coverts
one field that is text but looks suspiciously like a date to a date
field. Is there a way to disable this or set Excel to open the file
with all fields formatted for text?

Thanks!
Heather

The easiest way is to rename the file to .txt instead of .csv, then the text
import wizard allows you to select the format for each column.
