How do I determine what version of ecxel I am running on my pc. I have
Windows XP Home edition.

How do I know what version of excel I am running?
 

Click on Help|about Microsoft Office excel

You'll see the version at the top.

John Walkenbach can help you translate the version number to something more
understandable.
