To Whom it may concern:
We collect data in a fraction format such as 5/6 or 12/12. DO I have a way to put this into one cell & have it give met he following answer 17/18 in a single cell? So basically is sums the numerator & denominator & places that into one cell. Thanks in advance for your help, everyone that participates makes my life so much easier & I really apprecaite it. -- Thanks, Andy |
Fractions
You may use custom format on the cells, using the pattern ???/???. Excel
will show you the fraction, but you can make calculations with the number as usual. Be aware that it will show the simplest fraction, so 12/12 will be shown as 1/1. Hope this helps, Miguel.
