Copying from one spreadsheet to another - formulas don't come alon
In Office 2000.
I have a spreadsheet, and I open another instance of Excel. In the first spreadsheet I select some rows and columns and copy them. I then paste them in the second spreadsheet. The values copy, but the format and formulas do not. Paste - Special gives me options to paste in the range of cells as an image. So how do I copy the formulas from one spreadsheet to another? |

this may not be the most elegant way but you could copy the formula from the
formula bar at the top of the screen except for the leading = sign. Then paste into the new workbook and then add the = back into the 2nd workbook. "Dan" wrote: In Office 2000. Dan,
There are some known issues with copying and pasting to a different instance of excel. For example, copy:visible cells then paste in a new instance will paste all cells not just the visible ones that were copied. Is there a reason you must use a different instance of excel rather than just opening a new workbook? "Dan" wrote: In Office 2000. I have a spreadsheet, and I open another instance of Excel.
