I can't able to open a particular file in excel 97. Please ass
Size of that particular file is 1.35 m.b and it has many sheets. When I try
to open the same error occurs "This program performed an illegal operation and will be shut down please contact your program vendor" Please do in my favour and help me to get out of this problem. That file contents very important data. Lots of people have praised OpenOffice.org for saving their data and code.
http://www.openoffice.org, a 60-104 meg download or a CD There are commercial recovery services. I've never used it, but you might want to check into: http://www.officerecovery.com And sometimes newer versions of excel can open files that older versions can't. (And sometimes just different versions may work, too!) Shekhar wrote: Size of that particular file is 1.35 m.b and it has many sheets. Can you confirm its the file and not the workstation? try opening it from another base unit. Do you use user groups? if so then try getting another user to log on and try opening it. What operating system are you using and what version of Excel is the file written in? If its definatley the file then I'd suggest you follow Dave Peterson's advice -- Nuttychick ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Nuttychick's Profile: http://www.excelforum.com/member.php...o&userid=23017 View this thread: http://www.excelforum.com/showthread...hreadid=539765 |
