I have a excel file that went from 646 kb to 4787 kb for no reason. I only
added a few things to the file. I have had the same spreedsheet for over a year and it gets bigger everymonth but only by about 10 kb at a time. Could I have a viruis or is ther an easy fix to make it smaller agian. It is very hard to work wioth the file now. |

Hi Don,
What are the "few things" that you added? Images perhaps. Even very simple looking bitmap images can have a very large file size. HTH Martin |

Thank you for responding Martin
No only text and formulas. I have been adding 14 new columns everymonth and the sreadsheet has about 400 rows. Every month I add 14 columns and only a few rows. It is a Food Spreedsheet. Recipes across the top and ingredients down the side. The calculations only add or divide and I have not graphs or charts. I have been working in two versions of excel one at home and one at work and emailing it back and forth. That seems to be about the time it started. Someone here told me that may be an issue. I want to know if that is the case can I make it smaller again somehow...ie is there a repair of some sort? Don "MartinW" wrote: Hi Don, What are the "few things" that you added? Images perhaps.
