File in Use
We have an Excel file that is used by several different persons. When
someone is already in the file in edit mode and another person tries to go in, it will usually tell them that the file is already in use by 'x person'. Sometimes, however, it will only say that the file is in use by ' '. Where does it get the name of the person who has the file open? Is it dependent on which version of Excel is being used? We would always like it to show the actual person's signon who is using the file. -- IT |
