Formulas Not Working in Excel 2003
I have tried all methods listed on this group (i.e. F9, Ctl+Alt+F9,
ToolsOptionsCalc) and to no avail. The formulas I am trying to use a =EXACT(B2,B3) and =RIGHT(B2,2) Obviously the first is to check for duplicates, and the second I am trying to extract the state from a cell that contains "City, State". Any help would be greatly appreciated! Jeff |

What about text format in the cells with the formulas, or are you saying
that the formulas don't change if copied down or that they don't change if you change the contents of the cells involved or that they give an answer you think is incorrect? -- Regards, Peo Sjoblom http://nwexcelsolutions.com wrote in message oups.com... Are your formulas showing in the cell all the time? If so, it is possible that Excel has come to think of them as text strings. If this is the case, CTRL+X to cut the formula out of the formula bar, format the cell as general, then paste the formula back in. If that is not it, have you tried evaluating the formula, step by step? The fx button on the Formula Toolbar might help. hth Bruce -- BruceP ------------------------------------------------------------------------ BruceP's Profile: http://www.excelforum.com/member.php...o&userid=33653 View this thread: http://www.excelforum.com/showthread...hreadid=538582 |

Text or General do not work. I enter the formula, then try to execute
it (enter key) and nothing. |
