Default range in link?


Hello:

I can link one excel file's cell to another excel file's cell.
But a cant seem to specify how to link a range of cells.

I tried this but w/ no luck.
='C:\Documents and Settings\Desktop[1.xls]Sheet1'!B9:g9

any help?
