Autofilter Not Filtering Properly
I have a worksheet with about 5,000 lines. When I try to autofilter on a
selected item from the dropdown menu, it displays many more cells that don't contain that value (including blank cells) and indicates only 1 line was found. I've never encountered this problem before with autofilter. BTW, in case it means anything, the workbook was originally a shared workbook. I "unshared" it before applying the autofilter. And, I did try to copy and paste special, values only, into a new workbook. Same problem and results. Any thoughts from anyone? Thanks in advance. |
Autofilter Not Filtering Properly
If you apply your filter (filtering by that value--not just putting the arrows
in place) once more, look at the row numbers to the left. The row numbers that are part of the autofilter range are blue. If the row numbers are still gray, then they weren't part of your autofilter range. Remove the filter arrows Data|Filter|autofilter then select your range--don't let excel guess and reapply data|filter|autofilter Then test it out.
