Is it possible to set up a pivot table from the wizard with many data fields
to go horizontally across the page rather than vertically down the page? (eg
total sum, average, max, min in columns B-E rather than rows 5-8).

Not sure if this can be done using the Wizard, but once you've set up
your table and begun adding data, drag the gray "Data" box to the right
field "Total" I think. This will place your data in separate columns
instead of rows. As you drag new items to the data field it will
populate a new column.
