Is it possible to set up a pivot table from the wizard with many data fields
to go horizontally across the page rather than vertically down the page? (eg total sum, average, max, min in columns B-E rather than rows 5-8). Thanks |

Not sure if this can be done using the Wizard, but once you've set up
your table and begun adding data, drag the gray "Data" box to the right field "Total" I think. This will place your data in separate columns instead of rows. As you drag new items to the data field it will populate a new column. |

Just to add to Jim's reply...
Debra Dalgleish has the same instructions (with pictures!): http://www.contextures.com/xlPivot02.html jim wrote: Not sure if this can be done using the Wizard, but once you've set up your table and begun adding data, drag the gray "Data" box to the right field "Total" I think.
