Default Trigonometry & Math functiona in Excel

A29=(C10-C37)/2*(TAN(RADIANS(B27)))
C10=12.5 feet
B27=55 degrees
C37=0.9 feet
answer=8.283 feet (Correct result)
The above formula works.

Why the formula below does not work? Does not give the correct result.
A29=(C10-(C37*0.0833)/2*(TAN(RADIANS(B27))))
I am simply changing C37 from decimal of feet into inches
Can someone help with this dilemma please?
Many thanks in advance.
Serge
