auto tab when cell is full
Does anyone know of a quick and easy way to automatically advance to the next cell when the maximum number of characters is reached in the cell? I want to eliminate the need to press the tab or enter keys to speed up the input of data. -- univarhb ------------------------------------------------------------------------ univarhb's Profile: http://www.excelforum.com/member.php...o&userid=33913 View this thread: http://www.excelforum.com/showthread...hreadid=536877 |

Excel has no way of knowing when a certain number of characters has been entered
in a cell until you indicate in some manner that this is so. i.e. hit enter, tab or arrow key to leave the cell So...............no, there is no method to eliminate the need to press a key. You could build a userform that counts the characters and when the limit is
reached, it could go to the next cell (whatever that means). univarhb wrote: Does anyone know of a quick and easy way to automatically advance to the next cell when the maximum number of characters is reached in the cell?
