I cannot read an Excel Attachment. Why?
 

Main cause is that you have a later version that the person who sent it. Have
them convert it to you version and resend.

I do have a later version. How does the person who sent me the email convert
it to my version?

Have them save as: and change the "save as type" to Excel 97
