How do I stop Excel interpretting a number range as a date?
I have created a histogram and would like to label the bin range with number
ranges, e.g. 0-4, 5-9, 10-14, 15-19 etc. This works fine for 0-4 and 15-19 upwards, but 5-9 is always interpretted by Excel as 05-Sep and 10-14 as 10-Oct! I cannot stop this happening. I have tried removing the cell format but to no avail, it will not allow these number ranges without changing the format to a date. I can input a single number without problems by changing the cell format to general, but whenever I try to input 5-9, I always get 05-Sep! Any ideas? |
