Preferences for sorting to always have header row

Can I change the default preferences in Excel to 'My Data has Header Row'? I
often use the icons for sort ascending in the toolbar and the data always
sorts the header row with it.

Thanks, but I tried that and it doesn't work. Also tried freezing the row and
tried formatting the row to repeat on pages. Thanks anyway.
