In cell formatting select date and in the language/country drop down list
select English/Ireland!

Hi,

Dates are stored in numeric form and displayed as requested by the
Format selected, see

http://www.mvps.org/dmcritchie/excel/datetime.htm

for a better explanation.

If your change of format didn't work then you need to look at the
format of the column, are all dates wrongly displayed, or just those
with day 12?

Any further clues to your problem?
