![]() Hello fellow excel users, I am trying to figure out how to make your spread sheet have some of the sorting features such as in I-tunes. For example, I would like to be to able name my collums in different catogories. (ex: year, song name, artist), and then be able to click on this collum title to have the data posted in alphebetical or numerical order. I am having a problem doing this. Can someone please help me? Is it possible with excel? Or should I be trying to use access for this kind of project? Thanks alot, Andrew:) -- andrew1981 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ andrew1981's Profile: http://www.excelforum.com/member.php...o&userid=33774 View this thread: http://www.excelforum.com/showthread...hreadid=535449 |

![]() Hi Andrew, yes, it is definitely possible but if you have a lot of music you may want to try using a Pivot table approach in Excel (check out help files & post any questions you have) or moving into Access(probably not necessary). For some possible techniques check out the links included in the thread listed below: http://excelforum.com/showthread.php...double+clic k Hth, Rob Brockett NZ Always learning & the best way to learn is to experience... -- broro183 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ broro183's Profile: http://www.excelforum.com/member.php...o&userid=30068 View this thread: http://www.excelforum.com/showthread...hreadid=535449 |
