Very slow performance while exploring.
 

When I try to import data (through Data/Import Data), or sometimes when
I just want to open a file, exploring gets very slow. There can be
several second of wait just to go up a folder. I've tried to disable my
antivirus program, but that didn't help.

I would appreciate any help.

maybe you could defragment your harddisk or if you are working with
fat32, convert to ntfs.
