Default Prevent cell data from converting to euros

Each time I type a 3 digit number into a cell, it converts to Euros. I have
shut off all autocorrect features to no avail. When I look up this problem in
Help, it tells me to go to Tools and shut off the Euro financial convertor.
This convertor does not show up under Tools. Pls. help, it's driving me mad.
Thanks!

check your cell formatting. if this is a regular number then set the
formatting to number or text. If it is a currency then set the formatting
accordingly
