I have one workbook that contains a series of status reports on separate
worksheets that all are viewed by a project team. I would like to share and protect the workbook (I think) so that everyone on the team can view all reports, but can only modify the ones that they control. So if I update the "Open Order" report, that's the only one that I have access to modify, even though I can view and filter (data/filter/autofilter) all the others. Can someone tell me the steps to do this? I've read that there are some difficulties with the shared workbook feature, so if there's another way to make this work I would appreciate it. We are all in the same office on the same network. Thanks for any info. KK |

I have what I think is similar. my cash control workbook has a summary sheet
that only I can modify, a recipts page that is protected by a password of the person who receives cash, a outflow sheet that is controled by accounting, and a petty cash sheet with another password. each sheet is protected by the one responsible for it. eacy computer has a shortcut to that file "kleivakat" wrote: I have one workbook that contains a series of status reports on separate worksheets that all are viewed by a project team.
