Tips for Minimizing size of Pivot Table workbooks
I have a workbook with 5+ pivot tables running independantly of one another from a single worksheet. Right now the workbook is 50 MB, any tips out there to minimize the size (other than having the pivot tables tie together). thanks -- shadestreet ------------------------------------------------------------------------ shadestreet's Profile: http://www.excelforum.com/member.php...fo&userid=7092 View this thread: http://www.excelforum.com/showthread...hreadid=534324 |
Tips for Minimizing size of Pivot Table workbooks
Hi,
Is the origin of the data in the same workbook? If so, you can move it to other place and base the pivot tables on external sources. If not, and this is really a major concern, you may create a blank workbook, recreating each pivot table one by one using external source, and check the file size with each addition. This way at least you will identify which of the 5 tables are the ones that are making your file big, and may take decisions upon that. Hope this helps, the limitation of not tieing pivot tables is a hard one :) Miguel.
