.xls not a valid web archive
 

Hi

I was wondering if someone could help me:

I've got this MS excel file that I'm downloading from a website - it
downloads fine but when I go to open it, it pops a message up saying:
'applicatinons.xls' is not a valid web archive.

What does this mean and how can I open the file?
