Help!
 

First off, I am not very familiar with excel, so when answering pls
make it easy for a beginner to understand. I have a customer list in
excel. It have their first and last name in one cell with a space
between the two. I would like to know how to remove the space and
instead have a period inserted between them. I then would like to add
an @ symbol followed by their email provider. I need to make a csv
file so i can upload it to a web database and create a customer
newsletter list. The end result should look like this:

Use a help column, assume the original list with first <space last
starts in A4, in another column put

=SUBSTITUTE(A4," "

copy down, copy and then editpaste special and select values

This assumes you don't have names like

John D. Rockefeller

if you do post back and tell us how you want to treat those kind of names
of course if they are few you can just do them manually

No not spam. I am starting an educational supply store and had teachers
to sign up for my newsletter. They gave me their names because thats
all I need since each email is set up the same. I have each name saved
in my excel spreadsheet and wanted to change their names into email
addresses.

Hmm..now when im trying to run it, it uses two rows for the name of the
person. It's skipping a person every other row. Any ideas?

Then you must have either more than one name in each cell, hidden rows or
merged cells, if the values are like


A B
1 name1
2 name2
3 name3
4


it will definitely take each cell separately when copied down
