Large excel file will not open
 

Hi,

I have a large file (37.5MB), that has just stopped opening in Excel.
It was fine when I was working on it yesterday. The loading process
hangs, and 'Program not responding' appears if I bring up the task
manager. Could this be a problem with the size of the file? Might it be
worth trying to open it on a more powerful machine (Im using a 1.7ghz,
256mb ram notebook)? Any ideas hugely appreciated.

You might want to try clearing out your temp directory - its worked for
me in the past.

C:\Documents and Settings\{your name on the PC}\Local Settings\temp
