Amperasand in Headers

Can any one tell me why when I type an amperasand (&) in my header in Excel
it does not show up in the print preview or when I print it? How do I fix
this?

Amperasand in Headers

The & character is a special control character when used in
headers and footers. To print a &, use two &&.
