MSQuery link to same file
I want to run a database query on data that is contained within the same
notebook as the query - Excel and MSQuery seem to be totally freaking out when I try this - stalling for minutes at a time. Is there a to fix this without having to use two separate workbooks? I'd much rather keep all this stuff contained in one file... |

There should be no problems using MS Query to extract data from the current
workbook. Before you engage MS Query, make su 1)your data list has column headings 2)your data lists are in named ranges 3)you save the workbook. Then, when you start MS Query, you can navigate to the workbook and easily find your data. Does that help? *********** Regards, Ron XL2002, WinXP-Pro "GoBobbyGo" wrote: I want to run a database query on data that is contained within the same notebook as the query - Excel and MSQuery seem to be totally freaking out when I try this - stalling for minutes at a time.
