The reformat to general works within the spreadsheet, but if it is necessary
to export to a csv file using the text format, the ### shows up in the file when opened in WORD. Does anyone know how to actually fix the problem? Or what causes it? "Dave Peterson" wrote: Format the cell as General. niamh wrote: -- Dave Peterson |

Before I'd venture a guess, I'd want to know how long the string is and how you
created the .csv file. And if you open that .csv file using NotePad, do you still see the same problem? And the version of excel/word that you're using. cd wrote: The reformat to general works within the spreadsheet, but if it is necessary to export to a csv file using the text format, the ### shows up in the file when opened in WORD.
