How can I stop Excel from creating an e-mail link for addresses?
I am creating a spreadsheet that includes e-mail addresses. When I enter the
e-mail address into the cell, it automatically creates a link that I can click on to send an e-mail. I would like to just have the e-mail address entered as text, but when I try to go back and format it as text, it won't change it. |

Hi debanded, Select: Tools-Autocorrect options - Autoformat as you type Uncheck the box labelled replace as you type Internet and network paths with hyperlinks If you enter a new email address after this change, you won't get hyperlinks. Copy and paste-special-formats this over existing links to remove the links. -- John James ------------------------------------------------------------------------ John James's Profile: http://www.excelforum.com/member.php...o&userid=32690 View this thread: http://www.excelforum.com/showthread...hreadid=532266 |
