when i choose tools,option,view,formula the date in date formatted cells
converted to a number, why?
i am working in excel 2003

I guess it takes away all formatting and the underlying value is shown,
excel dates are days since Jan 0 1900 where 1 is one day and today would be
38812, if that is disturbing to you enter any date preceded with an
apostrophe however that will make the date text
