Merging Excel with Excel - more info
I have a registration form created in Excel that I would like to merge the
names in one cell. I would rather not type 300 names. The names are in Excel also. |

You want 300 names from 300 single cells merged into 300 names in one cell?
Do you want a delimiter between each name in the cell? Gord Dibben MS Excel MVP On Tue, 4 Apr 2006 07:00:04 -0700, Janet wrote: I have a registration form created in Excel that I would like to merge the names in one cell. I would rather not type 300 names. The names are in Excel also. |

I have already copied and pasted each name into one cell. Printed the form
and then pasted the next name into the cell. Printed. etc. I just thought there would be an easier way with merging. I am done with that project but I might have more in the future. Still too confusing for me. Copied and pasted each name from where and into which cell? Again, do you want 300 names in one cell or what? One name in one cell. One name per registration form. I need one
registration form per person. I have 300 names. The registration form is created in Excel. The Data/Names is also created in Excel. I know how to merge a Word document with different names and Insert Next Record, so I can have 300 pages of the same letter with different peoples names on each letter. This is the same concept. Only I am starting out with an Excel Main/Shell document. I don't know how to get the Merge Codes into my Registration Form. "Gord Dibben" wrote: Janet Still too confusing for me. Excel does not have any built-in provision for mail merging. Most all use Word for the mailmerge and Excel as the the data source. For help on Word mail merge using Excel as the data source. http://www.mvps.org/dmcritchie/excel/mailmerg.htm http://www.mvps.org/word/FAQs/MailMe...AMailMerge.htm http://www.mvps.org/word/FAQs/MailMe...DataSource.htm There is an alternative on John Walkenbach's site, where he does a mailmerge directly in Excel. http://www.j-walk.com/ss/excel/tips/tip92.htm Gord On Tue, 4 Apr 2006 15:21:01 -0700, Janet wrote: One name in one cell.
