subtotal +/- buttons missing!
 

I use the Data menu - subtotals dialog for a lot of worksheets but have ran
into a problem. We have a system that using crystal reports to make "data
only" worksheets, which output just the reports column headers and record
details (works great), but when you try to use the subtotals menu on the data
it does not show the +/- buttons on the left like a normal excel sheet does.
how can i get the +/- buttons to show up??
