How do I recover from "Access Denied" in Excel?
I created some Excel files (Excel 2000) and I was happily able to edit and
modify them. I then moved them to another directory ready to back them up. Now whenever I try to access them or copy them I get "Access Denied" How can I recover from this please? I have tried re-applying XP and Office Service Packs. |

How do I recover from "Access Denied" in Excel?
Thanks. I tried this but it did not work. However after experimenting I
found that a higher level directory had got corrupted and thought that it was no longer owned by me. I used my admin priveledges to reset the directory and I am able to edit my files again. Thanks once again for your time and effort. "exceluserforeman" wrote: How did you move them?
