Errors using a new function
=IF(F35=0,0,IF(F35<=50,20,MAX(30,F35*0.15))) After placing this function in a working worksheet. I'm now getting errors. The function is working properly. It's just that every time I do a save I receive errors. The error states: A formula in a cell could not be converted because it contains a function that is not available in the file format to which you are saving. If you continue the save, the formula and result will be saed, but the function itself will be converted to an error value. Nothing seems to be happening to the function. Hopefully someone can direct me on how to correct this error... -- terry_d ------------------------------------------------------------------------ terry_d's Profile: http://www.excelforum.com/member.php...o&userid=32678 View this thread: http://www.excelforum.com/showthread...hreadid=527604 |
Errors using a new function
Hello, Just had a look at your formula and it doesn't make sense. It either returns a 0 or a 20 or a 30 - the F35*0.15 in the max function serves no purpose. =IF(A4=0,0,IF(A4<=50,20,30)) will have the exact same result as your formula and may solve your problem. Hope that helps Simon -- kosciosco ------------------------------------------------------------------------ kosciosco's Profile: http://www.excelforum.com/member.php...fo&userid=7068 View this thread: http://www.excelforum.com/showthread...hreadid=527604 |
Errors using a new function
=IF(F35=0,0,IF(F35<=50,20,MAX(30,F35*0.15))) What I'm trying to do here is get a total of $20, if miles are 1 to 50, $30, if the miles are 50 to 200. If the miles are 200, or more, the amount needs to be multiplied by $0.15. The formula works very well, but generating errors... -- terry_d ------------------------------------------------------------------------ terry_d's Profile: http://www.excelforum.com/member.php...o&userid=32678 View this thread: http://www.excelforum.com/showthread...hreadid=527604 |
Errors using a new function
Suggest you save under a new name, then pull up teh saved spreadsheet & find out where the #ERROR is listed, then examine that cell from the original spreadsheet. ---GJC -- gjcase ------------------------------------------------------------------------ gjcase's Profile: http://www.excelforum.com/member.php...o&userid=26061 View this thread: http://www.excelforum.com/showthread...hreadid=527604 |
