I havent used Excel for some time and have forgotten how to put atitle in the
top row of a worksheet

How do I enter a title in the top row of an Excel worksheet
 

Enter in the cells, say row 1, then FilePage Setup...Sheet and set Rows to
repeat at top to $1:$1
