hOW DO i SUBTRACT COLUMNS IN EXCEL?
To subtract Col B from Col C, assuming you have data in hte first 10 rows: Enter =A1-B1 in col C1. Then copy C1 down thru C10. Excel will adjust the formula as you copy down. To copy, select C1 and hit Crtl-C , then highlight c2:c10 and hit Ctrl-V. Alternatively, grab the lower RH corner of C1 & drag it down thru C10. Result will be that each cell in Col C is the difference of the corresponding cells in Cols A & B. You can try cruising thru the Excel "Help" contents for help on specific functions. ---GJC -- gjcase ------------------------------------------------------------------------ gjcase's Profile: http://www.excelforum.com/member.php...o&userid=26061 View this thread: http://www.excelforum.com/showthread...hreadid=526524 |
