dropdown menu or Jump menu
Hello guys, I would like to use what is called a "jump menu" for html but in Excel. What I would like to do is, like in html, insert a list of hyperlinked words in a dropdown menu and when you click in the small arrow and select one of these words you are "jumped" to the url the word is associated(it could be a http or a cell in a nother sheet). Any ideas how to do that?? dropdown menu or Jump menu
Add a module to your project and copy the following macro code into it. Put the hyperlinks into the Drop Down's List Range and assign the macro to the Drop Down. When you select a item in the Drop Down, the hyperlink will be activated. Sub GoToHyperlink() Dim DropDownName Dim LinkName On Error GoTo NoLink DropDownName = Application.Caller With ActiveSheet.Shapes(DropDownName).ControlFormat LinkName = .List(.ListIndex) End With ActiveSheet.Hyperlinks(LinkName).Follow Exit Sub NoLink: MsgBox "Hyperlink " & LinkName & " not found.", vbExclamation End Sub I would use the combo box from the forms toolbar, right click on it to assign the the macro, and also right click on it to go to format control and assign the list range to it -- davesexcel ------------------------------------------------------------------------ davesexcel's Profile: http://www.excelforum.com/member.php...o&userid=31708 View this thread: http://www.excelforum.com/showthread...hreadid=526338 |
