Default changing options in delete dialog box

when I am in excel worksheet and I right click delete - I can only delete
full column or full row. How can I get shift left and shift up option to
appear?

Do Alt Edit Delete... that will give you the option.... Also make sure that
when you are right clicking, you don't have a whole column or row
highlighted...
