First ever task
Hi, I have found my way around some of the tools so I hope I'll understand your replies! Here is what I want from my first ever task. I want to input text only into cells A1 through to D1. This is purely information I need for a project. Then when I enter an X into E1 (signaling the project as closed) I want all cells from A1 to E1 to grey out. I have been told this is conditional formatting but I don't know how to get this result. Many thanks. -- LIGHT USER ------------------------------------------------------------------------ LIGHT USER's Profile: http://www.excelforum.com/member.php...o&userid=32754 View this thread: http://www.excelforum.com/showthread...hreadid=525839 |

Thankyou Keith I think I must be highllighting incorrectly as this only changes cell A1 to grey when I enter the x in E1. What am I doing wrong?
