In an 'If Statement' is it at all possible to have the cell change font
colour or cell colour if the statent is false. |

Use FormatConditional Formatting.
Select the cell that contains your formula and go to FormatConditional Formatting. Use "Cell value is" and select "Equal to" and then type in false.
