All the cells have disappeared!!
A friend has sent me one of his Excel spreadsheets that is causing him a
problem, as he thinks I know something about computing. I have opened this spreadheet successfully in Excel 2000 but the first worksheet just displays as a totally blank grey background. The column headings are there but all the row headings are absent. If I drag down on the horizontal lower edge of the column headings then row 65535 appears. If I do that again, then Row 65534 appears, and so on. However, I can't find any way to quickly reveal all the rows. Any suggestions as to how I can view the spreadsheet properly? If not, any suggestions as to what my friend may have dione wrong? Nothing appears to be hidden, frozen or protected. |

I'd try this first:
Select all the cells (ctrl-a a few times) format|row|unhide Since you can see the column headings, you shouldn't need to do format|column|unhide. Thanks, Dave. Your help is much appreciated. Ctrl-A plus Format/Row/Unhide did the job. "Dave Peterson" wrote: I'd try this first: Select all the cells (ctrl-a a few times) format|row|unhide Since you can see the column headings, you shouldn't need to do format|column|unhide. |
