cells linked to others in same workbook not updating
 

I have created a spreadsheet with cells linked to others in the same
workbook. However, when I change the origin cell, the linked cell does not
update unless I go back to the linked cell and activate it. Cannot
understand why?

Check to see if calculation is set for automatic:

Tools|options|calculation tab
