Data Validation - width of drop down box
 

I was under the impression that when utilizing the list feature in data
validation that the width of the drop down box would be the same as the
column to which it related. I have three different columns (which are
different lengths) and sometimes the drop down list box is the same width as
the column and sometimes not. The widths actually change sometimes as I move
around or close the worksheet and reopen. How do I insure that the width of
the drop down is consistently the same width as the column.
