Stopping Calculation
Is there a way to stop calculation once it has started? I tend to do a lot
of huge spreadsheets. Sometimes I insert a column without remembering that I have formula's that will need to re-calculate. I'd like to be able to stop the calculation at least until I've done everything I need to do. But sometimes escape does not stop the calculation and I have to wait until it is done to move on. |

I believe that if you look under toolsoptionscalculation and set it to
manual, that might be what your looking for. It can easily be reset to automatic if necessary. "Kelly" wrote: Is there a way to stop calculation once it has started? I'm hesitant to use that. I seem to have issues calculating when I need to
before I go onto the next step and then I end up with junk data. I was just looking for a way to interupt a calculation in progress.
